César De la Parra was admitted as partner of Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa in 2015. His professional practice is mainly focused on tax and administrative litigation in a wide range of sectors and transactions representing domestic and non-resident clients. He has a seventeen-years’ experience in litigation and tax disputes as well as handling proceedings initiated by federal and local tax authorities related to federal and local taxes involving transfer pricing, the financial system, corporate restructuring, anti-money laundering, and constitutional actions before the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice. He also leads the firm’s Anti-Money Laundering practice.

César is the author of various articles published in Mexico and abroad. He has taught Tax Law at Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE).

  • Former Vice-Chair of the Tax Committee at the Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa (ANADE-National Association of Corporate Lawyers).
  • Member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
  • Member of the Colegio de Contadores Públicos de México (College of Public Accountants of Mexico).

Education

  • Law Degree (J.D. equivalent), Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA).
  • Master’s degree in Tax Law with a certificate in International Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center.
  • Diploma Anti-Money Laundering Colegio de Contadores Públicos de México (CCPM).
