Gerardo Canseco is an experienced lawyer with a great approach and responsiveness toward his clients. He joined Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa in 2006 and was admitted as a partner in 2018. His practice focuses on international trade, customs, the energy sector, and regulatory affairs.

He focuses his international trade practice on import and export projects related to “maquila” operations, complex tariff classification, Free Trade Agreements, customs valuation, contractual supply chain, and antidumping procedures.

 

Gerardo also has a vast experience in the energy sector, in the last years he has challenged through constitutional claims many regulations against the free market affecting private companies. In addition, he has obtained government authorizations for solar farms regarding the relief of duties, as well as permits for the importation and distribution of fuels, and energy permits granted by the Energy Regulatory Commission.
